みんなで野田地区の溝のかきだし

書き出した泥の山

雨の中でも作業します、きれいになりました。

オールハンズのメインの仕事のひとつは災害地域の溝の泥のかきだしです。
今まで被害のひどかったところで１４ｋｍにも渡る溝の泥をかき出してきたこともあります。

One of the main job of all hands is ditching in tsunami washed area. They ditched 14km long so far!
やってみるまでどんな仕事なのかまったくわかりませんでした。
I had no idea what kind of job is ditching until I actually did it.

道路や全壊した建物の撤去作業は機械で進んでいます。でも、道路と土地の間の溝はガレキでびっしりと埋まっていて、しかももう災害から７ヶ月たっているので踏み固められているので金属の棒や斧で崩していきしゃべるで埋まった土を掘り出していかなければなりません。
溝の泥かきをすることによって人々の生活排水を流れるようにしています。
ほんとに筋肉痛になりますけどみんなで汗を流すのは気持ちいいことです。
溝かきは縁の下のちからもちだなと思います。

The rubble has been cleared up from the road and the broken building has been taken away with the machines. But the ditches are too narrow for the machines to enter and still full of firm rubble and it is so hard to remove after 7months.
Ditching helps drainage to flow for the people live in Ohunato.
It is so hard to work for such a manual labor, and my body gets muscular pain, but at the same time it is so great to sweat with all other people.

ditcvhing is ennositanochikaramochi which means the person who does a thankless task.
